Karen Dulyunan, M.S. CCC-SLP is the owner of SLSL. Karen has more than 10 years of experience in working with individuals with communication disorders.
She received her Master of Science in Communication Disorders at Callier Center of Communication Disorders in Dallas, Texas in 2002. She received her B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and B.A. in Spanish at the University of Texas at Austin.
Her interests lie in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, Articulation Disorders, and Accent Reduction.
Karen has worked in a variety of settings to help her skills with the range of clientele she sees. Karen has worked in Early Childhood Intervention, rehabilitation hospitals, and private practice. The best experience in the area of speech and language is her role of mother. Being a mom helps her relate to her clients’ parents.
Karen has many interests which include traveling, and spending time with her daughters, husband, and two Laborador Retrievers. During her spare time, Karen likes to compete in sprint triathlons and local half marathons.
Karen is fully certified with the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, Texas Speech and Hearing Association, and is a member of the Fort Bend Junior Service League, where her core placement is the Fort Bend Women’s Center. In 2010, 2013, and 2014, she earned the ACE Award through ASHA. In 2014 and 2015, she presented posters in Corporate Speech Pathology at the annual ASHA Convention.
